Following the murder of my son Jed in 2007, I have been on a crusade to try to find the help that I need, and have found that there is not the support in the south specific enough for this type of loss, and also not at the time needed. During the past two years I have had to carry on working to support my family and taking care of my other two teenagers during their grieving process.

Fortunately I found help with Ingrid McAllister who works as a Bereavement Counsellor for the Cooperative Funeral Directors and is also a Cruse Bereavement Care volunteer.  Ingrid was instantly aware that I had a special bereavement need and has been proactive in finding out about support that can be offered.

For those on the "outside", the events seem singular, there's a murder, then there is a court case, then it's over, but for those involved whether as a parent, friend, brother or sister it is a continual journey of pain. The court case is particularly hard as there is no one there for the support.

This web site is currently being developed and will be updated to try to give further help to those involved in a murder/manslaughter situation.
